BANQUET Members and various guests from throughout the community came early to enjoy dinner and refreshments. II. CHAIR RECOGNITION Chairs were introduced with a funny story that occurred during the past year. They also received a magnet with a picture of the leadership team on it as their chair gift. III. CEREMONY Meeting called to order by President Stefanie Theis, 7:10pm IV. WELCOME Welcome to everyone who joined us this evening, especially guests Peter Schork, from Ann Arbor Downtown Kiwanis and our Keynote Speaker; from Ann Arbor Downtown Kiwanis, Don Kossick and Jerry Hartweg; from Chelsea Kiwanis Club, Roy and Patsy Kemnar and Bob Milbrodt; from Whitmore Lake Kiwanis, Bonnie Carpenter and Donna Nafziger; from Whitmore Lake Key Club, Mindy Nafziger; from Whitmore Lake Builders Club, Mary Griffin, Ashley Beckstein, Melissa Dreffs, Cindy Dreffs and Jordan Collins; Immediate Past Key Club Division II LTG Jane Yang; from Michigan State University Circle K, East Lieutenant Govenor Lesley Doherty, Stephan DeCamp, Dan Gibson, Eric Klotz, Karen Helfrick, Kate Rustem and Kristen Eichorn; from Central Michigan University, District Treasurer Nicole Skupski; University of Michigan alum Megan Foley. V. INDUCTIONS We inducted 21 new members into the organization this evening. Congratulations and welcome. VI. SERVICE RECOGNITION We recognized members with 25+, 50+, 75+, 100+, 125+, 150+, 175+, and 300+ hours between April 2006 and March 2007. Thank you for all the hard work you have done this past year. VII. KEYNOTE ADDRESS Peter Schork is an active member in many local organizations, including the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor. He is currently the Co-Chair for Sponsored Organizations and the Key Club Liaison. Furthermore, he has served as president and board member in the past. He participates in numerous Kiwanis projects, such as Maxey Boys Center Visits, Christmas in April and Rummage Sales. He graduated from The University of Michigan in 1984 and is married with 3 kids. He spoke to us this evening about volunteerism and caring. VIII. HONORS *Committees The chairs and members of each committee were recognized for all the hard work they have put in, as well as everything they have accomplished this year. *Community Circle K is honored to work with 57 different community organizations. Thank you to all the groups Circle K works with, and we look foward to a continued partnership in the future. *Club Awards Our club was honored with many awards over the past year. Some of these included the Michigan District of Circle K Outstanding Club Achievement award, Oustanding Kiwanis Advisor Don Kossick and several honorable mentions from the Michigan Leadership Awards. IX. SENIORS The graduating seniors each talked about their favorite Circle K memory and were presented with a personalized gift as a token of appreciation. X. YEAR IN REVIEW VIDEO We watched a video reflecting some of the memorable moments of this past year and the graduating seniors that will be missed. XI. OFFICER FAREWELLS Each of the 2006-2007 officers spoke to the club on a personal level expressing their experiences over this past year and in Circle K in general. XII. OFFICER INSTALLATIONS Our Kiwanis Advisor Don Kossick formally installed each of the new officers.
