He talked about his passion for helping children in low income areas attain a proper level of education and how we, as members of Circle K, can make a difference in the community, too. While in college, Jon served as the Executive Director of the Detroit Project and was a member of Circle K. Immediately after graduating he joined Teach for America, teaching seventh grade special education in West Harlem, New York City. V. From a couple articles... "It's a flabbergasting, karmic coincidence -- the Hall of Fame coach dying the day before the biggest of all 103 games in a rivalry he helped enliven. Emotions will be in powerful conflict in Ohio Stadium on Saturday. The game will still be played at a passionate level that Bo would both demand and applaud, but there will be shadows across many hearts in two states." (espn.go.com) "But if anyone thinks that he wont be watching, cheering and shouting for Michigan tomorrow you have another thing coming. Everyone on the field and in the stands will feel the presents of Bo Shembechler. That is certain, and in a life full of uncertainties this is one we can all enjoy... even if only for one more precious afternoon." (www.paradisepost.com) RIP Bo, you will be missed.
