CALL TO ORDER, President Stefanie Theis, 7:10pm A contest was held for the best committee Halloween costume, and it ended in a tie between the Historian committee, who were dominos, and Natalia Maska (DCON Chair), who was dressed in a toga to promote this year's "Ancient Greece" themed District Convention. II. WELCOME to everyone, especially guest Bill Tasch from the Ann Arbor Downtown Kiwanis. III. HAPPY CENTS Happy Cents is a segment of the meeting when anyone can deposit change into our special "Jaria Jar" and have the opportunity to share something that makes them happy. This week, we heard that Kristin D. is less stressed because she dropped a class, Alli's friend is going to visit from Texas, Jen did well on an exam, Lindsay N. went on two geology field trips today, Kelly's friend from Chicago will be visiting, Jessica K. got an A- on a paper, Bill Tasch's daughter is getting married, Jenna and Min are both site leading their first projects, Manna (for Zina) announced that SERVE is holding a workshop about proposal 2 on November 1st, Gina's sister will be visiting, and Natalia announced that she met the former President of Poland and that the Polish film festival is on November 18th. IV. PROJECTS IN REVIEW Heather Irelan talked about Cookie Decorating at Neutral Zone, which has been redecorated and looks beautiful now. Laura Grai talked about BINGO at Mott Children's Hospital, which really made the kids' day. V. CLUE MURDER MYSTERY When it was discovered that PR Chair, Nick Hoffman, had been murdered, the members got into groups to spread out and solve the mystery. The five suspects were the Executive Board. The possible locations in the Union were: the Circle K office, the MUG, Amer's, the Billiards room, the SORC, the Union computing lab, the Opera Lounge, and the Dean's office. The weapons that could have been used were: the stapler, the gavel, the banner, the projector, the service thermometer, and the extension cord. In a Clue-style scavenger hunt around the Union, the groups collected as much information as they could to figure out the murderer, location, and weapon. In the end, none of the groups were successful in determining that Stefanie killed Nick in the SORC with the banner! VI. UPCOMING PROJECTS Animal Haunts will be at the Leslie Science Center this Saturday from 4:15-9:15pm. We will be helping run a fun, educational nature walk for adorable little kids. Also on Saturday, before the game, we will be passing out Michigan Dailys to get reimbursed for dues. On Sunday from 7:00-9:45pm we will be going to a Cider Mill and Haunted House social. We can't quite figure out what it is they're doing, and every time we ask them we don't get an answer. Once they were all wearing cowboy hats, and most recently we found them all wearing sweatbands. What is going on up there?!? Some of our hypotheses: they have a horse, foosball table, pool table, are playing basketball, playing hockey, throwing armchairs, or are wrestling. Most of these are just speculation, but we're pretty sure they do have a horse.
