BANQUET Members and various guests from throughout the community came early to enjoy dinner and refreshments. II. CHAIR RECOGNITION Chairs were presented with paper plate awards recognizing their hard work throughout the year and identifying some interesting personal facts. They were also given a picture frame with a picture of the group from a leadership team meeting. III. CEREMONY Meeting called to order by President Nick Hoffman, 7:10pm IV. WELCOME Welcome to everyone who joined us this evening, especially guests Royster Harper, Vice President of Student Affairs; from Ann Arbor Downtown Kiwanis, Don Kossick; from Dexter Kiwanis, past Governor Joe Medrano; from Hillsdale Kiwanis, Governor-elect Bill Van Arsdalen and his wife, Joan; past Circle K Administrator Sean Havera; from Willamette University, Circle K International President Brian Egger, from Michigan State University, International Trustee Serena Bearman; from Michigan State University, District Governor Kristy Slominski and District Governor-elect Andrew Wyman, from Ohio Wesleyan, Ohio District Governor Terry D. Williams; from Eastern Michigan University, President Michelle Radabaugh and Club Treasurer Misti Lukas, from Michigan State University, Club Bulletin Editor Heather Guenther; past University of Michigan Circle K President and lifetime member Rishi Moudgil. V. INDUCTIONS We inducted 40 new members into the organization this evening. Congratulations and welcome. VI. INTERNATIONAL PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS Brian Egger, a junior at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon is a seven year Kiwanis member. Prior to being elected International President, Brian served as Lt. Governor and District Governor for the Pacific Northwest District. This evening, Brian spoke to us about membership in Circle K, the importance of service, and the potential a large club like ours has to instigate change and make a difference. Special thanks to Brian for traveling so far to join us tonight. VII. SERVICE RECOGNITION We recognized members with 25+, 50+, 75+, 100+, 125+, 150+, 200+, and 275+ hours between April 2005 and March 2006. Thank you for all the hard work you have done this past year. VIII. KEYNOTE ADDRESS Royster Harper, University of Michigan's Vice President of Student Affairs, has been a leader in facilitating enhanced integration of students' experiences inside and outside of the classroom and in improving the quality of student life. She spoke to us this evening about what it means to be a servant-leader and emphasized the importance of serving out of passion, not pity. Thank you to Ms. Harper for taking the time to join us this evening. IX. DISTRICT GOVERNOR'S ADDRESS From Michigan State University, our Circle K 2006-2007 Michigan District Governor, Andrew Wyman, talked to us about our club's involvement in the district. He is looking forward to working with us in the upcoming year. Thank you to Andrew for joining us tonight. X. HONORS *Committees The chairs and members of each committee were recognized for all the hard work they have put in, as well as everything they have accomplished this year. *Community Circle K is honored to work with 57 different community organizations. Thank you to all the groups Circle K works with, and we look forward to a continued partnership in the future. *Club Awards Our club was honored with many awards over the past year. Some of these included the Michigan District of Circle K Outstanding Club Achievement award and the Michigan Leadership Awards' Program of the Year for 24 Hours of Service. *Board Awards Every year the board selects members who have gone above and beyond in helping the board fulfill its duties to the club. This year the board honored Kelly Cobb and Megan Foley for their contributions to the club. XI. SENIORS The graduating seniors each talked about their favorite Circle K memory and were presented with a personalized gift as a token of appreciation. XII. YEAR IN REVIEW VIDEO We watched a video reflecting on some of the memorable moments of this past year and the graduating seniors that will all be missed. XIII. OFFICER FAREWELLS Each of the 2005-2006 officers spoke to the club on a personal level expressing their experiences over this past year and in Circle K in general. XIV. OFFICER INSTALLATIONS Our Kiwanis Advisor Don Kossick formally installed each of the new officers.
