III. WHAT IS CIRCLE K? Circle K is an organization based on strong foundations of service, friendship, and leadership. IV. SERVICE Club Treasurer Stefanie Theis talked about Circle K's tenet of service. What makes Circle K different from other community service organizations is that there is no minimum service hour requirement. Next, Linda Bodzin from Holmes Elementary talked about mentorship, a weekly one-on-one program with fourth and fifth grade students. Linda talked about how much the students benefit from having mentors, and she read a couple of letters past mentorship participants had written. V. FRIENDSHIP Club Editor Lindsay Grude introduced the friendship aspect of Circle K. She talked about some of the past social events and how the relationships she formed in Circle K have kept her an active member in the club. Service Director Kelly Cobb also talked about his social development through Circle K and the many friends he has made since joining. VI. LEADERSHIP Vice President Phillip LaRue talked about the leadership tenet, highlighting the many ways that Circle K helps members with a wide variety of interests develop as leaders. SLIDESHOW After hearing about each of Circle K's three tenets we saw them in action in a slideshow of pictures from past service projects, leadership retreats, and social events. VIII.
