MEMBERSHIP Nick reminded us all today that if you want to be a part of the inductions ceremony you need to hand in your membership form by next Thursday, October 28th. VII. BIRTHDAY COMPETITION For this month's birthday competition everyone who had a birthday in September or October competed to see who could decorate a pumpkin to make it resemble a board member. The pumpkin with the best likeness, made by Megan Foley of Eric, won the event. At the end of the year competition Megan will have the change to compete for fabulous prizes. VIII. IMPRESSIONS ACTIVITY For this activity those present divided up into eight different groups and each group was given a picture of someone with a description of their lives with blanks missing. The objective was to fill in the blanks based on the picture and the other parts of the description. Then the groups read their descriptions and compared them to the actual descriptions. This highlights the importance of not making judgments based on outward appearances in our work with the community. IX. CLOSING Next week's meeting will be a Halloween meeting so be sure to wear a costume! Also remember that inductions are November 4th and membership forms need to be handed in with dues by October 28th. That's cool and all, but I don't really say "tight, real tight" at all. I say "tight" or "that's tight" or maybe "thats pretty tight" all the time. what's up with that? reply to soloose@umich.edu
