CALL TO ORDER, President Payal Patel, 7:10pm II. WELCOME to everyone, unfortunately we had no guests joining us tonight. III. PROJECTS IN REVIEW Dance Marathon took place this past weekend. The marathon raised $250,000 for children. Thats a quarter million dollars!!! Lindsay talked about the whirly ball social. According to her, whirly ball is a combination of "bumper cars, lacrosse, and basket ball." The social was lots of fun despite the strange building. Kevin told us about the HIV/AIDS dinner at Palio this past week. There was a raffle for wine bottles signed by celebrities during the dinner and Circle Kers turned on the charm to get the guests to buy tickets. IV. INTERROGATION BOX )%( The Interrogation Box is a box where any member can submit any question they would like. At the meetings, members can volunteer to be interrogated. )%( This week, Matt was asked "What cereal box character would you be?" After much flip flopping he decided on the leprechaun from Lucky Charms. Jenny is confident that in a fight between the colors of the rainbow, blue would come out the winner. V. ICON According to Payal, ICON is the same thing as DCON, only it's International, instead of District. It's a great chance for UM Circle Kers to meet other people dedicated to service from all over the world. This year ICON is happening in St. Louis Missouri from June 30th to July 3rd. VI. SEINORS: WHAT IF??? The seniors of Circle K chairs ran the meeting tonight, and let us know what would life would be like if they were not around... )%( To kick the event off Kabir let us know what it would be like if he wore a dress. )%( We learned that without Lynn around to come up with an awesome theme for DCON we would be celebrating service with an Ebola virus theme. )%( Without Eric (and Pam) there would be no one to sign up for projects and bring twice the hours. )%( Without Amy, "www.umcirclek.org" would look the same whether your computer is turned on or not. )%( Payal dating Harry Potter? Kabir alone and sad? It almost happened, were it not for both of them spending long hours their sophomore year working together to make the bulletins every week. )%( Circle K would have a speed boat to cruse the Huron river and pick up trash were it not for the responsible spending of Kelly as Treasurer. )%( Thanks to John for taking our total service hours this year from 3900 to 3903. )%( Many Ann Arbor residents would be very hungry were it not for the efforts of Matt and Elise doing motor meals for 12 strait weeks. )%( Jenny would certainly be presiding as President over this years ICON, if only she joined her freshman year. )%( Deepa would never have had to go on a date with the Union building manager if she had never dropped the key down the elevator shaft. )%( If Lyne never joined we wouldn have a great Wolverine mascot. )%( Without Matt around there would be nothing to model the comments box after. )%( Explanations of the website would be greatly expedited if Kabir were not with us. )%( We should all be thankful that the DPS officer that found the Circle Kers in the wave pool on North Campus was in Circle K, or Payal and the others might still be in Jail. )%( If Deepa never joined it would be even more unlikely that someone from UM Circle K would be referred to as "Podeep" at DCON. VII. PROJECTS )%( DP DAY )%( DP Day is this Saturday so if you signed up don't forget to go. The weather is supposed to great. )%( CHARIT-A-BOWL )%( Chait-a-bowl is also this weekend on Sunday. Each team pays $75 to enter the tournament with all the proceeds going to the charity of choice of the winning team. Upcoming Projects: )%( K-Kids -------------------------> Fri. I had some trouble getting everything to work this time, but I think I got the hang of it now so next week this should be going out Thursday night. Let me know if and when I make mistakes here so I can get everything worked out before next year. Also I need more creative ideas for what to put down here. Plus some kind of a name or someting.
