INTERROGATION BOX The Interrogation Box is a box where any member can submit any question they would like. At the meetings, members can volunteer to be interrogated. This week, we learned that Nick's worst experience with blood was when he tripped while ice skating and split his chin open. V. PROJECTS/SOCIAL IN REVIEW Nguyen told us about going to Joyfield Caregivers in Detroit to help clean the homes of senior citizens. She really enjoyed the project and recommends it to others in the future. Lisa and Payal went to the Kiwanis Rummage Sale. At first, all the jobs were covered, but after a while there was an "emergency" and they were desperately needed in the bike & floor rug section. They managed to sell one bike for $30, and seemed to have a lot of fun doing it. VI. WHAT'S YOUR LARGE SCALE PROJECT PERSONALITY? We all took a fun 10-question personality test to determine which of Circle K's upcoming large scale projects suits us the best. Then we split up into groups and went to five stations around the room to learn about the project or event, and in some cases, help out with it. The projects were: -%- CK Service Day (January 31, 8am) CK Service Day is a 12-hour day of service and social activities. We will be going to Detroit this Saturday to work on a house with Habitat for Humanity. Then we will return to Ann Arbor and go out to dinner together. At this station, people made gingerbread houses that they could eat. -%- Friday Night Live - A Cappella Concert (February 6, 7pm) Friday Night Live is one of our biggest events of the year. Four campus groups, one high school group, and one group from Northwestern will be performing. The cost is $8 per ticket, and all proceeds will go to Bait House, a local charity. At this station, people helped fold table tents that will be put up in the dorms while watching the video of last year's concert. -%- District Convention (March 12-14) District Convention (DCON) is the annual weekend-long gathering of all the Circle K Clubs in Michigan. It's a really fun action-packed weekend, and always one of the highlights of the year. Registration forms are due February 5th! At this station, people formed superhero positions and were traced. Their figure was cut out, and will be used for one of the activities at DCON. -%- Charit-A-Bowl (TBD) This is our annual bowling tournament for charity. It is a single elimination round tournament. Each team is bowling for their favorite charity, and all the proceeds go to the charity of the winning team. At this station each group had a mock single-round elimination bowling tournament. -%- Senior Prom (April 2) Senior Prom is our annual dance for Senior Citizens at the Ypsilanti Senior Center. At this station, we learned a short line dance to practice our skills for the real thing. Other Upcoming Projects are: -%- Motor Meals -------------------> Sat.
