INTRODUCTION TO BUILDERS CLUB This semester, U of M Circle K is starting up a Builders Club in a middle school in Detroit. Builders Club is a community service club specifically for middle school students. We learned about what the club would be like, and also about another service group we facilitate - Our K-Kids club at Berry Elementary School. One goal is to get the clubs more involved with each other. To welcome the new Builders Club into the Kiwanis Family, we divided into groups, and each group prepared a message for the Builders Club members. The messages were on topics such as service, leadership, the Kiwanis family, friendship/fun, and teamwork. These messages were video taped, and will be given to the students along with a banner that we signed for them. VII. ADJOURNMENT Thank you to everyone who came today! After the meeting we went to the House of Flavors for some coffee and slushees. Next week is our winter mass meeting - it will be great for anyone who is interested in getting more involved in Circle K. ---THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN CIRCLE K--- * * * * * # # * MEETINGS: Thursdays, 7pm, Union * # # * "The greatest WEB PAGE: www.umcirclek.org * # # * service to E-MAIL: circlek@umich.edu * ### * yourself * # # * is service OFFICE: 4213 Michigan Union * # # * to others" HOURS: 2-5pm M-Th * # # * PHONE: 615-0523 * * * * -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The mission of the University of Michigan Circle K is to: Inspire and empower college students to develop a lifetime commitment to serving the community through a variety of projects, a plethora of leadership opportunities, and a dynamic social atmosphere while allowing members to be engaged in what is important to them. ~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~ HOLY NOTE TAKING BATMAN! ~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~%~ Have you ever noticed that you're sitting in class, and no one in the class is taking notes (because there is clearly no need) except for one person?
